How is TKC Governed?

The spiritual and temporal affairs of TKC are managed by a Council of Elders, who are called to give godly counsel and insight to the Senior Pastor and to provide spiritual oversight and general care for the Church.

Each Elder must

  • be born again by the Spirit of God (John 3:3-7)

  • be baptized by water immersion after his new birth (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38-41)

  • be filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4, 6:5)

  • be an active member in good standing of the Church

  • manifest the characteristics of an elder as set forth in the relevant teachings of the New Testament, (Specifically 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9)

Each Elder devotes himself to prayer and study of the Word (Acts 6:4) and hold firm "to the sure word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to confute those who contradict it." (Titus 1:9)

The Senior Pastor, Bill Jeschke, presides over the Elders.
