King’s Kids Vision
Where children come to KNOW JESUS as their Savior and GROW TOGETHER in relationship with Him in an environment where they feel safe and loved and SHOW GOD’S LOVE to those in their family, community and world as parents gain encouragement and support in Godly parenting. From infants through middle school, we have fantastic opportunities for your children during our Sunday worship service at TKC. Our nursery is a safe and loving environment for your littlest ones. King’s Kids Church for Preschool through Elementary school is where your child will experience fun, biblical lessons providing them with a foundation as they move into adolescence and beyond. Please check-in your child(ren) when you arrive to our secure system for your child’s safety here at The King's Chapel. During the summer, we provide a vivid and interactive VBS program for our King's Kids and their friends! Throughout the year, we also offer the King’s Kids Choir for 2nd-8th graders, a Palm Sunday program, Easter Egg Hunt, Mother’s Day program and a Christmas program as well as End of Year Standardized Testing for the Homeschoolers in May.
NURSERY (4 Months -EARLY PRESCHOOLERS)
Our nursery is divided according to age group. All of these classes are off the main hallway. Children two and up are in classes that have a special Bible message and activity designed specifically for their developmental needs. Each room is furnished with appropriate toys and equipment that is regularly cleaned to prevent the spread of germs. Nursery begins after Family Worship approximately 10:15am. We also have a Nursing/Quiet room for Infants and Moms in the conference room where you can hear the service and attend to your littlest.
KID’S CHURCH (PreK - 5th Grade Upstairs)
These already checked-in children are welcomed to line up with their teachers by the side sanctuary door and released to Kid’s Church. Our curriculum is The Gospel Project for Kids, a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible events—presenting the story of redemption through Jesus like kids have never seen it before! Each week, these stories come to life through video, music, activities, and more. The children are divided into a Pre-K class, K - 2nd class and a 3rd - 5th grade class. They all engage in Bible lessons, Activities, Bible memory & Games. Each week the children will be asked a “Big Picture” question throughout the morning that will drive home the main point of the lesson. A secure & fun time is sure to be had by all with our dedicated & trained staff of teachers and children’s leaders.
MIDDLE SCHOOL SUNDAY SCHOOL (GRADES 6-8)
On the 2nd and 4th Sundays, the Middle Schoolers meet after worship in Room 6 and are going through the Gospel Project for Students Curriculum. They share their Highs and Lows of the week and then delve into scripture and look to apply it to where they are in life. A Parent leader leads the group.
SECURE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT:
Your child’s safety is a high priority at TKC. All children through 5th grade need to be checked in at our King’s Kid’s Greeter Station when they arrive at church. We can then record any allergies or health concerns, provide an individualized name tag with security number for your child, and a security ticket to the parents for check out at the end of services. All children are dismissed from the sanctuary after worship (Preschool-5th grade line up with teachers inside sanctuary. Parents drop off nursery age at their classrooms denoted on their check-in label.) Every child must have a name tag before proceeding to their classroom. Check out: all parents must show security label at checkout for newborn through 5th grade. We institute the RULE OF THREE in all classes. 2 approved volunteers are required to be with even one child. All Adults are required to do a background check and complete a Child Abuse Prevention class and have take a CPR community class or become CPR certified as well as seizure and Epi-Pen trained.
We also have a King's Kids Choir on Thursdays during the school year for 3rd-7th graders led by our Music Minister, Pastor Marty Reeve and Ann Wedemeyer where the kids learn choral strategies, play a recorder and have several performances.
Throughout the year, we also have special kid-friendly programs: Easter Egg Hunt, Summer VBS,
Christmas Pageant, Parenting Workshops, and Parent Night Outs to name a few!
