KURT KUYKENDALL

In 1969, Kurt’s senior year of high school, he was cut from the varsity basketball team which led him to asking Jesus Christ into his life. Glorifying and serving God became his life’s motivation. He attended D‐1 American University where he graduated with a degree in Political Science.  God redeemed sports in his life at AU -- after only playing soccer for 3 months he made the Men’s Varsity Soccer team.  He went on to become an All-American, a US Olympian and professional soccer player all in only 3.5 years from starting to play. This included playing professionally with the legendary Pele and NY Cosmos. God then moved him out of professional sports and he became a successful realtor with REMAX and ultimately was inducted into REMAX’s International Hall of Fame.

Kurt and his wife, Sherry, have been married 44 years. Together they had the privilege of discipling, home schooling and training their 5 children, who all played soccer at D‐1 colleges as well.  They currently have 9 grandchildren.
